My group (Bently, Aric, and I) decided to make a two-player side-scroller racing game, in which the players will control vehicles involving Indonesia (which is the main theme in this project). These vehicles will be transportation that has become a staple of Indonesian culture or those unique to Indonesia. As it is a side-scrolling racing game, the players would compete with one another on a randomly generated terrain in which a finish line is placed after a certain distance.
To make the game more interesting, we propose the idea of random events happening throughout the race. These events would be reflective to certain aspects of Indonesia. Whether it be an event that hinders the players or helps them, they would need to keep an eye out and not only focus on the terrain.
